SHARING A GHOST

Cinemavixion Review

In "Sharing a Ghost," we are introduced to Vera and Anna, two women whose lives become inextricably linked by the enigmatic Denis. Their starkly contrasting backgrounds—Vera's sheltered upbringing versus Anna's tumultuous adolescence—serve as a dramatic backdrop for the unraveling mystery that connects them. The narrative skillfully explores themes of betrayal, the consequences of past actions, and the possibility of forging an unlikely alliance between former rivals. As Vera delves into the complexities of her husband's past, she uncovers a truth that is both devastating and illuminating, revealing a double life that shatters her perception of reality. The film positions these two women, despite their differences, as fellow travelers navigating the 'phantom pains' of emotional turmoil, ultimately suggesting that their path to healing and a new beginning lies in solidarity. It's a compelling study of resilience and the unexpected bonds that can form in the wake of shared hardship.
