SHAPESHIFTER

Cinemavixion Review

Gregory Lemkin's "Shapeshifter" plunges audiences into the claustrophobic confines of a maximum-security prison, where a terrifying transformation occurs not only among the inmates but also within the narrative itself. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of dread as a demonic entity begins to hunt, forcing a fragile alliance between guards and prisoners. Jennifer Lee Wiggins, Ocean Marciano, and Chris Facey deliver performances that grapple with primal fear and the desperate will to survive. As the supernatural secret behind the beast unravels, the film explores themes of confinement, both physical and existential, leaving viewers to ponder the true nature of monstrosity. While the film may not boast critical accolades, its relentless tension and unique premise offer a chilling descent into horror that is worth experiencing.
