SHAKY SHIVERS

Cinemavixion Review

Sung Kang's "Shaky Shivers" is a delightful throwback to the campy horror-comedies of the 1980s, offering a blend of magic, mayhem, and monstrous encounters. The film, released in 2022, centers on Lucy, who fears she's turning into a werewolf after a mysterious creature bite. Accompanied by her loyal best friend, their adventure takes a turn for the terrifying, and occasionally comical, as they navigate an abandoned camp filled with magical spells and classic monsters. Despite its B-movie charm and a runtime of 82 minutes, "Shaky Shivers" manages to entertain with its playful take on horror tropes. While critical reception may be mixed, as indicated by a 4.7/10 on IMDb, it garnered a more favorable 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, suggesting a divisive but ultimately enjoyable experience for fans of the genre. It's a film that doesn't take itself too seriously, inviting viewers to embrace the fun and the frights.
