SHADOWS OF MY PAST

Cinemavixion Review

Jahzikiel Dyer's "Shadows Of My Past" delves into the precarious tightrope walked by pastor Cedric Johnson, portrayed with compelling vulnerability. The film masterfully explores the tension between public piety and private turmoil as an ex-lover emerges, threatening to dismantle the life Johnson has meticulously built. The narrative skillfully weaves a tale of hidden secrets and their inevitable confrontation, keeping the audience engaged with its palpable sense of impending crisis. Norman Nixon Jr. leads a cast that effectively conveys the emotional weight of the story, particularly in their interactions with Odessa Feaster and Tiffany Black. While external accolades are not detailed, the film's core strength lies in its exploration of themes like redemption and the enduring consequences of past actions, making it a thought-provoking watch.
