Michael Biehn's directorial debut, 'Shadowguard,' plunges viewers into a visceral world of conflict and desperate quests. Set against the backdrop of a war-torn Asian landscape, the narrative centers on Deva, the devoted protector of a spiritual leader, the Bagwun. When her master falls victim to an assassination attempt, Deva embarks on a perilous mission to secure a life-saving blood transfusion. Her path converges with that of John Tremayne, a disillusioned ex-Special Forces operative portrayed by Biehn himself. The film masterfully crafts a tense chase as Deva and Tremayne navigate the treacherous machinations of rebel leader Lompoc and his associate Guang Di.
