SEVER: BONE DEEP

Cinemavixion Review

Matthew Ryan Anderson's 'SEVER: BONE DEEP' plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of retribution. The film follows a disturbed patient who breaks free from an asylum, embarking on a brutal quest for vengeance against a young couple caught in her path. Anderson crafts a tense atmosphere, leveraging the confined setting to amplify the sense of dread. The performances, particularly from Batya Cruz, Maia Kavchak, and Garret Caillouet, anchor the film's visceral impact, portraying desperation and terror with raw intensity. While the premise is straightforward, the execution delivers a compelling, albeit grim, exploration of the consequences of past actions and the enduring nature of revenge. It's a lean, mean thriller that doesn't shy away from its dark subject matter.
