SECRET LIVES OF MAFIA WIVES

Cinemavixion Review

This compelling two-part documentary offers an unflinching look into the often-misunderstood lives connected to organized crime. Through the eyes of mob wives, girlfriends, and daughters, the series delves beyond the sensationalized portrayals of the Mafia. It explores the profound personal impact of a life steeped in violence, illicit wealth, and the constant shadow of treachery. Featuring intimate accounts from individuals like Linda Scarpa, daughter of notorious hitman Greg Scarpa, the documentary highlights how the sins of the fathers—and husbands—indelibly mark the lives of their families. The narrative also introduces the complexities of modern relationships within this world, as seen with Anthony Russo and his new partner, Amy, who navigates the revelation of his past. It's a raw, insightful examination of loyalty, survival, and the enduring consequences of a life lived on the fringes of the law.
