SCREATURE OF THE LAGOON

Cinemavixion Review

Jake C. Young's "Screature of the Lagoon" plunges viewers into the dense Canadian wilderness, where a team of elite soldiers faces an unforeseen military experiment gone awry. The narrative centers on their perilous mission to contain a dangerous entity known only as "Screature." Young, who also stars in the film, alongside Bill Dundee and Jeremy Boggs, crafts a tense atmosphere that leverages the isolation and primal fear of the unknown. While the film's premise suggests a thrilling creature feature, its execution aims for a more grounded, tactical approach to survival horror. The interplay between the soldiers and the encroaching threat, set against a backdrop of unforgiving nature, forms the core of this intriguing, independent production.
