SCARE ATTRACTION

Cinemavixion Review

Steven M. Smith's "SCARE ATTRACTION" plunges viewers into a chilling blend of reality television and horror, presenting a grim twist on the typical Halloween haunt. The film follows reality TV stars who find themselves trapped in a deadly escape room, where a sinister voice forces them to confront truths under the threat of death. While the premise leans into the meta-commentary of manufactured drama versus genuine peril, the execution, according to its limited critical reception and a 2.3 IMDb rating, struggles to elevate beyond its B-movie roots. Despite a promising setup that taps into contemporary anxieties about authenticity and survival, "SCARE ATTRACTION" appears to be a film that, much like its characters, may be more compelling in concept than in its ultimate delivery. It offers a unique, albeit flawed, exploration of fear and deception within the constructed realities of modern entertainment.
