SCALPS - SIE KÄMPFT WIE EIN MANN

Cinemavixion Review

Bruno Mattei's 'Scalps - Sie kämpft wie ein Mann' (1987) plunges viewers into the tumultuous landscape of the American Civil War. The narrative centers on the defiant commander of a Texan fort, who staunchly refuses to surrender to the Union forces. His desperate strategy involves an attempt to acquire the daughter of the local Native American chief, a move that promises to ignite further conflict and moral ambiguity. The film, starring Vassili Karis, Mapi Galán, and Alberto Farnese, delves into themes of war, cultural clash, and the harsh realities faced by those on the frontier. While perhaps not a mainstream blockbuster, 'Scalps' offers a gritty portrayal of a period marked by profound division and desperation.
