SATAN'S SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

Cinemavixion Review

David Lowell Rich's 1973 thriller, "Satan's School for Girls," offers a compelling descent into the shadowy world of private education with a sinister undercurrent. The narrative follows Elizabeth Sayers, portrayed with a determined vulnerability by Pamela Franklin, as she infiltrates an elite girls' school to uncover the truth behind her sister's suspicious death. The film masterfully blends elements of mystery and horror, building suspense through its atmospheric setting and the unsettling performances of its cast, including the enigmatic Kate Jackson and Lloyd Bochner. While perhaps not a mainstream blockbuster, its intriguing plot and period-appropriate tone provide a chilling viewing experience that rewards patient exploration. The film's exploration of hidden cults and the secrets lurking beneath polished exteriors remains a potent theme, making it a noteworthy entry in the genre for those seeking suspenseful, character-driven narratives.
