SANTA AND THE THREE BEARS

Cinemavixion Review

This charming 1970 animated feature, "Santa and the Three Bears," offers a gentle introduction to the magic of Christmas for its young ursine protagonists. Directed by Tony Benedict, the story unfolds as two curious bear cubs, unaware of the holiday season, are captivated by tales of Santa Claus. Their fascination, spurred by a kind park ranger, leads them to ponder a visit from the jolly old man himself, much to their mother's skepticism. The narrative skillfully balances the innocence of childhood wonder with a touch of familial realism. Voice performances, particularly from Hal Smith and Jean Vander Pyl, bring warmth and personality to the characters. While not a grand spectacle, the film’s simple yet effective storytelling and heartwarming themes make it a delightful watch for families seeking a sweet, holiday-themed diversion.
