SANDRA JOHNSON | TAKEN

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, titled 'Sandra Johnson | Taken', delves into the tragic story of a pow wow princess from the Seine River First Nation, Sandra Johnson. The narrative powerfully recounts her life, emphasizing her roots in a loving family and her connection to the serene Seine River. The film starkly contrasts this warmth with the brutal reality of her murder, leaving viewers with a profound sense of loss and injustice. While details on the production are limited, the subject matter itself commands attention, serving as a poignant reminder of the ongoing issues faced by Indigenous communities and the importance of remembering victims whose stories deserve to be told and honored.
