SANCTUARY POPULATION ONE

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Sanctuary Population One,' director Lilly Heart Marriott presents a bleak post-apocalyptic vision, anchored by the performance of Ethan, a young idealist struggling for survival. The narrative plunges viewers into a shattered world where the protagonist must contend with a trifecta of threats: the infected, the oppressive Med-Ex militia, and predatory marauders. Adding a layer of psychological depth, Ethan is also haunted by the specters of his past. His desperate quest to reunite with his lost family becomes a central theme, exploring the precarious balance between hope as a driving force and its potential to become a fatal vulnerability. While the film grapples with familiar dystopian tropes, its focus on the internal struggles of its protagonist offers a compelling, if grim, exploration of resilience in the face of overwhelming adversity.
