SAN ANDREAS QUAKE

Cinemavixion Review

While not the blockbuster spectacle one might expect from its title, "San Andreas Quake" (2015) offers a modest disaster film centered on a familiar premise. Directed by John Baumgartner, the film posits a harrowing scenario: a seismologist's dire warning of a catastrophic earthquake goes unheeded, leaving her to race against time to save her family as Los Angeles crumbles. Starring Jhey Castles, Grace Van Dien, and Lane Townsend, the film navigates the tension of impending doom and personal stakes. Though it may not boast the production values of its more famous namesake, "San Andreas Quake" attempts to deliver a compelling, albeit low-key, narrative of survival against overwhelming natural forces. It's a serviceable entry for those seeking a straightforward earthquake thriller.
