SAMPLE PEOPLE

Cinemavixion Review

"Sample People" offers a gritty, ensemble-driven look at the chaotic intersecting lives of various Australians over a single weekend in Sydney. While the local description touts it as a thriller, the external data categorizes it as a comedy, crime, and drama, suggesting a complex tonal landscape. Starring the versatile Ben Mendelsohn, alongside an ensemble that includes pop icon Kylie Minogue according to external sources, the film attempts to weave a narrative tapestry where disparate characters' paths collide in unexpected ways. Directed by Clinton Smith, it evokes comparisons to modern classics like "Go" and "Pulp Fiction," hinting at a non-linear or interconnected storytelling approach. Despite a modest IMDb rating of 4.2/10, "Sample People" is an Australian production that delves into the underbelly of urban life, promising a viewing experience rich in character interaction and suspenseful circumstances.
