SALVADOR DALI: THE ENIGMATIC NATURE OF THE SURREALISM GENIUS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a fascinating glimpse into the mind of Salvador Dalí, seen through the eyes of filmmaker Jack Bond. Bond’s journey to Stockholm, where he revisits Dalí’s work at the Moderna Museet and reflects on his own 1965 film, 'Dalí in New York,' serves as a compelling framework. The film delves into the enigmatic persona of Dalí and the surrealist underpinnings of Bond’s own cinematic endeavors. Through conversations with curators and art historians, and intimate recollections of his friendship with Dalí, Bond unravels the profound influence the surrealist master had on his artistic vision. It is a thoughtful exploration of artistic legacy, personal connection, and the enduring power of surrealism.
