SABATA THE KILLER

Cinemavixion Review

Tulio Demicheli's "Sabata the Killer" (1970) presents a spirited Spaghetti Western romp that blends classic genre tropes with a touch of anachronistic invention. The narrative follows the titular Sabata and his associate Mangosta, a pair of bank robbers whose latest heist takes an unexpected turn, leading them to join forces with a hapless bank clerk. What ensues is a thrilling chase across the rugged landscape, with a formidable posse, armed with surprisingly advanced weaponry for the era, hot on their heels. Anthony Steffen and Peter Lee Lawrence deliver charismatic performances as the unlikely allies, while Eduardo Fajardo embodies the relentless pursuer with chilling effectiveness. The film's clever plot twists and the visual flair characteristic of the genre make it an engaging watch for fans seeking a dynamic take on the Western frontier.
