RUTHLESSLY KILLED HIS OWN CHILDREN | THE FAMILY SLAYER

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the disturbing narrative of George Emil Banks, also known as 'The Family Slayer,' detailing the horrific events of 1982 in Wilkes-Barre. The film confronts the viewer with a brutal rampage that claimed 13 lives, driven by Banks's apocalyptic delusion of an impending race war. It meticulously reconstructs the sequence of events, from the intimate horror of the murders within his own home to the wider tragedy at the trailer park, culminating in a tense police standoff. The documentary serves as a chilling examination of a mind fractured by extremist ideology, exploring the devastating consequences of warped beliefs and the profound impact on a community. It is a stark reminder of the darkness that can reside within and the unthinkable acts it can provoke.
