RUSSIA'S HIDDEN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CRISIS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary bravely confronts the pervasive and often silenced issue of domestic violence within Russia. By moving beyond statistics, it centers the harrowing testimonies of women whose lives have been irrevocably altered by abuse. The film powerfully illustrates the devastating impact of a controversial legal change that diminished protections for victims, forcing many into hiding or desperate flights with their children. It serves as a crucial, albeit difficult, watch, shedding light on a crisis that thrives in the shadows and advocating for greater awareness and support for those affected.
