ROSCOE'S HOUSE OF CHICKEN 'N' WAFFLES

Cinemavixion Review

Kennedy Goldsby's "Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N' Waffles" is a spirited dive into the world of soul food and high-stakes crime, centered around Clyde's urgent mission to save his friend Roscoe. The film masterfully blends culinary aspiration with a gritty underworld narrative, as Clyde endeavors to craft the ultimate recipe and transform a failing eatery into a soul-food mecca. While the film garnered a 4.0 rating on IMDb, its unique premise and the performances of Glenn Plummer, Anthony Johnson, and Clifton Powell offer a compelling, if somewhat niche, cinematic experience. It's a flavorful, if occasionally uneven, exploration of loyalty and ambition set against the backdrop of a struggling restaurant.
