Cinemavixion Review

Tony Robinson delves into the often-overlooked drudgery of historical labor in "Romans, Vikings, Peasants: Who Had The Worst Job In History?". This engaging series tackles the unglamorous realities faced by ordinary people across different eras, from the Roman Empire to the Viking age. Robinson himself steps into the muck, attempting ancient mining techniques and the arduous task of Saxon ploughing with rudimentary tools. Particularly fascinating is his exploration of the perilous life of a Viking egg collector, a role demanding incredible bravery and physical endurance. The program sheds light on the sheer resilience required to survive and thrive through back-breaking work, offering a visceral connection to our ancestors' daily struggles and a stark reminder of the progress in labor conditions we often take for granted.
