ROGUES TAVERN

Cinemavixion Review

Robert F. Hill's 1936 mystery, 'The Rogues' Tavern,' plunges viewers into a chilling whodunit set against the oppressive atmosphere of a hotel on a particularly dark and gloomy night. As a mad killer stalks the corridors, the film weaves a suspenseful narrative, drawing audiences into its enigmatic plot. While the film may not boast the accolades of contemporary thrillers, its straightforward approach to suspense and its classic B-movie charm offer a compelling watch for aficionados of vintage mystery. The tight runtime ensures a brisk pace, keeping the tension high as the mystery unfolds. It's a testament to the enduring power of a well-crafted suspense story, even from an earlier era of filmmaking.
