ROGER CORMAN COLLECTION

Cinemavixion Review

This collection offers a fascinating glimpse into the early, low-budget, yet wildly inventive work of B-movie maestro Roger Corman. Featuring cult classics like 'Little Shop of Horrors' (1960), 'A Bucket of Blood' (1959), and 'Creature From the Haunted Sea' (1961), this compilation showcases Corman's unique talent for generating memorable and often darkly humorous films on a shoestring budget. The ensemble cast, including a young Jack Nicholson in an early role, delivers performances that perfectly capture the campy spirit of these genre pieces. Charles B. Griffith's writing provides the distinctive, often satirical, edge that makes these films endure. While perhaps not high art, this collection is essential viewing for fans of cult cinema and anyone interested in the roots of independent filmmaking.
