ROADKILL

Cinemavixion Review

"Roadkill" plunges viewers into the desolate highways of rural Australia, offering a gritty narrative centered on a thief whose illicit activities intersect with a dangerous police investigation. Director Alexander Whitrow, who also stars in the lead role, crafts a suspenseful thriller that leverages its stark setting to amplify the tension. The performances, particularly from Whitrow and co-stars Robert Bell and Sarah Milde, ground the film in a palpable sense of desperation and peril. While the film delves into themes of survival and consequence, its true strength lies in its atmospheric portrayal of the Australian outback as a character in itself, a vast and unforgiving landscape mirroring the protagonist's precarious situation. "Roadkill" is a compelling watch for those who appreciate character-driven thrillers set against unforgiving backdrops.
