ROADKILL

Cinemavixion Review

"Roadkill" plunges viewers into a harrowing 1983 rural American landscape, where a chance encounter between a young woman and a hitchhiker ignites a desperate flight from justice. Director Warren Fast crafts a tense atmosphere as the journey devolves into a relentless police manhunt, transforming the open road into a perilous battleground. Caitlin Carmichael, Ryan Knudson, and Danielle Harris anchor the narrative with performances that navigate the escalating tension and mounting desperation. The film masterfully explores themes of entrapment and survival, as the initial act of kindness unravels into a fight for life itself. With its propulsive narrative and gritty depiction of a chase gone wrong, "Roadkill" offers a compelling, albeit bleak, exploration of how a single decision can lead to unforeseen and deadly consequences.
