ROAD TO SHANGRI-LA: FOLLOWING THE CLUES FROM HILTON'S NOVEL THROUGH PAKISTAN

Cinemavixion Review

David Adams embarks on an ambitious quest in "Pakistan: In Search of Shangri-La," a documentary series that plunges viewers into the remote and majestic landscapes of the Himalaya and Karakoram Mountains. This expansive two-year production, helmed by Adams himself as co-producer, ventures deep into the icy valleys of Far North Pakistan, seeking the mythical Shangri-La inspired by Hilton's novel. The series stands as a testament to its scale, having been the most expensive adventure travel series ever commissioned in Australia. Its narrative depth and visual scope were recognized with a nomination for Best Documentary Series at the Australian Logie Awards, promising an immersive journey for armchair explorers.
