ROAD TO L

Cinemavixion Review

Federico Greco's "Road To L" delves into the intriguing academic landscape of 1997, where folklore student Andrea Roberti embarks on a scholarly quest. The documentary posits a compelling hypothesis, exploring the potential connections between the cosmic horror narratives of H.P. Lovecraft and the chilling, deeply rooted dark folk tales found within Italy's Po Delta region. While the film doesn't offer the visceral thrills of a typical horror movie, it provides a fascinating intellectual journey for those interested in the intersection of literature, folklore, and the uncanny. The exploration of regional myths alongside literary giants promises a unique perspective on the sources of fear and imagination.
