Ferdinando Baldi's "Rita of the West," also known as "Crazy Westerners," emerges as a peculiar gem in the Spaghetti Western canon, boldly fusing the genre with the Italian "musicarello" tradition. Starring the effervescent Rita Pavone in a role that perfectly suits her vibrant persona, the film presents a unique premise: a gunslinger on a crusade against gold itself. Pavone embodies Rita with fierce determination, a small but mighty force determined to rid the world of avarice by hoarding and intending to destroy all gold.
