RISE OF THE SCYTHIAN

Cinemavixion Review

Set against the tumultuous backdrop of 11th Century Eastern Europe, a period rife with Viking raids and formidable battles, 'Rise Of The Scythian' presents a compelling narrative. The film delves into the journey of a young noble warrior, charting his internal conflict as he grapples with the choice between personal duty and the pursuit of justice. The performances, particularly from Aleksey Faddeev, Alexander Kuznetsov, and Yuriy Tsurilo, anchor the story with a raw intensity. While the film's historical setting provides a rich tapestry for its exploration of valor and moral quandaries, it is the protagonist's ultimate decision that resonates, offering a profound commentary on the true meaning of heroism in a brutal age.
