RIKI RHINO

Cinemavixion Review

Erwin Budiono's 'Riki Rhino' presents a charming animated adventure centered on a young rhinoceros's quest to reclaim his stolen horn. The narrative unfolds through Riki's journey across a vibrant rainforest, accompanied by his loyal friend, Beni the duck. What elevates this tale beyond a simple retrieval mission is its episodic structure, where Riki's acts of kindness towards other forest inhabitants are met with the acquisition of new skills. This creative device not only propels the plot forward but also subtly underscores the film's thematic core: that compassion and helpfulness are their own rewards, equipping one for life's challenges. The animation, while perhaps geared towards a younger audience, brings the rainforest and its inhabitants to life with color and energy, making Riki's quest an engaging watch for families.
