RIFT

Cinemavixion Review

"Rift" emerges as a taut thriller that delves into the precarious balance between a man's present success and the shadows of his past. The narrative centers on Agent Jason Cole, portrayed with compelling gravitas by Darren Cain, who seemingly possesses the perfect life—a thriving career, a devoted wife, and an unshakeable moral compass. However, the film masterfully orchestrates the resurfacing of Cole's history, plunging him into a high-stakes dilemma where integrity clashes with survival. The direction, though not explicitly detailed in the local data, effectively builds suspense, keeping the audience on edge as Cole navigates treacherous choices. The supporting cast, including David Lee Garver and Josh Hooks, provides solid performances that anchor the emotional weight of the plot. "Rift" is a thought-provoking exploration of consequence and redemption, proving that sometimes the greatest battles are fought within oneself.
