RIFFTRAX: ICEBREAKER

Cinemavixion Review

RiffTrax delivers its signature comedic commentary on 'Icebreaker,' a film whose premise itself is a riff on action tropes. Set against the backdrop of a Vermont ski resort, the narrative attempts a 'Die Hard on skis' scenario, a concept the RiffTrax team gleefully dissects. The local data highlights the film's somewhat convoluted plot, questioning the terrorists' motives and Sean Astin's heroic role, all while playfully comparing it to other action classics. The presence of Bruce Campbell, noted in both datasets, adds a layer of B-movie charm that the RiffTrax crew particularly relishes. Despite the film's perceived shortcomings in plot and execution, the RiffTrax team injects humor through sharp, witty observations, transforming a potentially forgettable action flick into an entertaining RiffTrax experience, proving that even a ski slope can become a stage for comedic gold.
