RIFFTRAX: ABRAXAS GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE

Cinemavixion Review

This "Rifftrax" presentation of "Abraxas: Guardian of the Universe" offers a uniquely comedic take on a science-fiction premise. The humor, driven by the Rifftrax crew's commentary, hinges on the absurdity of former wrestler Jesse Ventura taking on the role of a galactic protector. The description highlights the inherent silliness of the casting and plot, juxtaposing Ventura's persona with the heroic demands of the character. The inclusion of Jim Belushi in an unexpected role as an elementary school principal further amplifies the film's camp appeal. This rendition promises a laugh-out-loud experience, poking fun at every improbable turn and questionable line delivery, turning a potentially serious sci-fi endeavor into a delightful exercise in comedic deconstruction.
