RETHINKING THE GAULS | UNVEILING AN ADVANCED ANCIENT CIVILIZATION

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary challenges the long-held perception of the Gauls as a primitive, forest-dwelling people awaiting Roman civilization. Through the insights of archaeologists and historians, and featuring the work of Pierre Tissot, the film reconstructs a more accurate picture of Gaulish society. It highlights a civilization characterized by advanced craftsmanship, thriving trade networks, developed urban centers, and a distinct culture and religion. The documentary argues that the Gauls left a significant and enduring mark on European history, dismantling the outdated notion of their inherent backwardness.
