RESTLESS

Cinemavixion Review

This 2021 thriller, 'Restless,' plunges viewers into a claustrophobic night where paranoia and trust are tested. The plot centers on Ashley, who offers refuge to a bloodied neighbor, Martin, only to find her act of kindness unraveling into a tense game of deception. As the night progresses, the narrative skillfully blurs the lines between victim and perpetrator, keeping the audience guessing about the true nature of the threat. Director Patrick Lazzara, also credited as a writer, crafts a suspenseful atmosphere, bolstered by a compelling performance from Jorge-Luis Pallo. While the film garnered attention with multiple wins, its true strength lies in its ability to sustain an air of unease, making for a thought-provoking exploration of hidden motives and desperate circumstances.
