RENO & THE DOC

Cinemavixion Review

Charles Dennis's "Reno & The Doc" presents a charming, albeit straightforward, adventure featuring two curmudgeonly protagonists. Kenneth Welsh as the rebellious Reno and Henry Ramer as his partner Doc embark on a snowy escapade, driven by the need to thwart a nefarious scheme. The film leans into the chemistry between its leads, whose contrasting personalities provide much of the narrative's friction and humor. While the plot itself, involving a race against time through treacherous mountain terrain, offers moments of lighthearted suspense, it's the dynamic between Reno and Doc that truly anchors the experience. Their shared stubbornness and quick wits serve as the primary engines for overcoming obstacles, making for a watchable, if not groundbreaking, journey into the frosty peaks.
