RED WING

Cinemavixion Review

"Red Wing" offers a poignant exploration of unconventional family dynamics and burgeoning desire, set against the backdrop of a rural farm. The narrative centers on a couple who welcome a foster child into their home, a decision that subtly shifts the emotional landscape as the boy matures. The film delicately navigates the complex, and at times unsettling, development of feelings that challenge the established bonds within the household. Anchored by strong performances, particularly from the ensemble cast including Glen Powell, Luke Perry, and Bill Paxton, the movie delves into themes of hidden affections and the quiet tensions that can arise in close-knit relationships. While its pacing may be deliberate, "Red Wing" rewards viewers with a thoughtful and emotionally resonant character study that lingers long after the credits roll.
