RAPTOR ISLAND

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Raptor Island,' director Stanley Isaacs plunges audiences into a thrilling, albeit familiar, creature-feature scenario. Set against the backdrop of the South China Sea, the film pits a squad of U.S. Navy officers against a prehistoric nightmare: a horde of resurrected raptors. While the premise leans into B-movie territory, the execution offers a serviceable dose of action and suspense. Lorenzo Lamas and Steven Bauer lead the charge, delivering performances that match the film's pulpy energy. The narrative, though straightforward, capitalizes on the primal fear of being hunted, amplified by the exotic locale. For fans of creature-feature escapism, 'Raptor Island' provides a satisfying, if unpretentious, ride into the jaws of extinction.
