RADIO SILENCE

Cinemavixion Review

In "Radio Silence," director Troy Scoughton Sr. crafts a tense survival thriller centered on a Special Forces unit whose routine mission in Mexico takes a catastrophic turn. What begins as a straightforward retrieval of a downed spy satellite quickly devolves into a desperate fight for survival when the team is ambushed, losing vital personnel and equipment. The film excels in portraying the soldiers' isolation and the chilling unknown that confronts them. Lead actors Stephanie Frias, Frank Powers, and Jack Lutz deliver commendable performances, grounding the high-stakes scenario with palpable fear and resilience. While the plot description hints at a deeper mystery surrounding the downed satellite, the immediate focus remains on the gritty, immediate struggle against overwhelming odds. "Radio Silence" offers a compelling, albeit bleak, exploration of resourcefulness and the psychological toll of combat when stripped of all support.
