QUIET PEOPLE

Cinemavixion Review

"Quiet People" presents a chilling premise: a series of murders in Moscow where each perpetrator becomes the next victim, leaving the police baffled. The narrative introduces Major Sergey Odintsov, a sidelined officer recovering from injury, who finds himself entangled in a desperate personal struggle. His daughter's severe illness necessitates expensive medication, adding a layer of profound urgency to his already complex situation. The plot takes a dark turn with an offer of a lottery win, contingent on a morally reprehensible condition – murder. This setup masterfully blends crime thriller elements with a poignant human drama, exploring themes of desperation, morality, and the lengths one might go to for family. The film promises a tense and thought-provoking exploration of a city under siege and a man pushed to his limits.
