QUEEN VICTORIA'S INTRICATE ASPARAGUS PASTRY CRUST | ROYAL UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS | ABSOLUTE HISTORY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary snippet from Absolute History delves into a fascinating, albeit brief, moment in the life of a young Princess Victoria during her 1835 visit to Harewood House. The narrative cleverly uses diary entries to paint a portrait of a spirited, potentially willful teenager, two years before her ascension to the throne. The anecdote about her piano practice, where she defiantly declared 'There is no must about it!', offers a charming glimpse into her personality, hinting at the formidable monarch she would become. While the segment focuses on a specific, personal moment, it effectively sets the stage for understanding the character of a future queen, illustrating that the seeds of royal resolve were sown long before the crown was worn. It's a well-crafted piece that uses historical detail to bring a young Victoria to life.
