PURGATORY ROAD

Cinemavixion Review

Mark Savage's "Purgatory Road" plunges viewers into the sun-baked, morally ambiguous landscape of Mississippi. This visceral thriller chronicles the grim pilgrimage of two brothers, one a priest, as they embark on a violent crusade to 'cleanse' sinners. The narrative, driven by a potent blend of religious fervor and psychopathic delusion, explores the darkest corners of faith and fanaticism. Gary Cairns and Luke Albright deliver intense performances, embodying the unsettling conviction of their characters. While the film grapples with disturbing themes, its unflinching portrayal and Savage's stark direction create a haunting, unforgettable cinematic experience that probes the very nature of sin and salvation on the American highways. It's a raw and provocative journey into the heart of darkness.
