PUPPET MASTER: AXIS OF EVIL

Cinemavixion Review

In "Puppet Master: Axis of Evil," director David DeCoteau plunges viewers into the heart of World War II, weaving a tale of espionage and supernatural intervention. The film centers on Danny Coogan, a young man whose wartime aspirations are dramatically reshaped when he inherits a collection of animated puppets from a murdered hotel guest. These are no ordinary toys; they are sentient and deadly, thrust into Danny's life to combat a sinister plot by Nazi assassins and a Japanese saboteur. As the Axis powers threaten a vital American manufacturing plant, and Danny's own family and girlfriend become targets, the fate of the nation rests on his shoulders and the uncanny abilities of his pint-sized protectors. While the "Puppet Master" franchise is known for its unique blend of horror and fantasy, "Axis of Evil" adds a historical thriller element, exploring themes of courage and unexpected heroism in a time of global conflict. The film's narrative, supported by performances from Levi Fiehler and Jenna Gallaher, delivers a B-movie thrill that fans of the series will appreciate, offering a blend of pulpy action and macabre charm set against a wartime backdrop.
