PUNCH

Cinemavixion Review

Andy Edwards' "PUNCH" plunges viewers into a chilling descent on a young woman's final night of freedom in her hometown. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread as our protagonist finds herself relentlessly pursued by a masked assailant, a figure eerily reminiscent of the traditional Punch and Judy puppet show. Kierston Wareing, Jamie Lomas, and Alina Allison deliver performances that anchor the unsettling narrative, lending genuine emotional weight to the escalating terror. While the IMDb rating suggests a divisive reception, the film's strength lies in its potent exploration of vulnerability and the primal fear of the unknown, set against a familiar, yet increasingly sinister, backdrop. "PUNCH" is a taut thriller that effectively leverages its premise to deliver a memorable and suspenseful experience.
