PROJECT PAY DAY

Cinemavixion Review

Greg Koorhan's "Project Pay Day" offers a charming, albeit familiar, look at teenage ambition gone awry. The narrative follows three friends who, rather than face the drudgery of summer employment, concoct an elaborate scheme of invented jobs and get-rich-quick fantasies. The film cleverly explores the gap between adolescent dreams and the harsh realities of earning a living, highlighting the often-humorous pitfalls of entrepreneurial spirit without the accompanying work ethic. While the plot treads well-worn ground, the performances from the young cast, supported by Robert T. Bogue and Melanie Brook, lend genuine heart to the proceedings. It’s a lighthearted romp that reminds us that sometimes, the most valuable lessons are learned when our grand plans spectacularly unravel. A pleasant watch for those who enjoy coming-of-age comedies with a touch of cautionary tale.
