PRISON DOGS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a profound glimpse into the transformative power of the human-animal bond, set against the unlikely backdrop of a correctional facility. The film chronicles a unique program where incarcerated individuals are tasked with raising and training dogs, guiding them from vulnerable puppies to essential service animals for veterans. Through this process, "Prison Dogs" compellingly illustrates the profound impact that selfless dedication and unconditional love can have, not only on the recipients of the service dogs but also, and perhaps more surprisingly, on the prisoners themselves. It's a moving testament to rehabilitation, empathy, and the deep, often untapped, capacity for good that resides within us all, highlighting why animals truly hold a special place in our lives.
