PRINCESS IN LOVE

Cinemavixion Review

David Greene's "Princess in Love" delves into the tumultuous and ultimately tragic romantic entanglement between Diana, Princess of Wales, and Captain James Hewitt. Based on Hewitt's own account, the film navigates the delicate and scandalous terrain of a love affair that unfolded against the backdrop of the British monarchy. Robert Beck and Christopher Bowen deliver performances that capture the charged dynamic, while Julie Cox embodies the iconic princess. While the film explores the human element of this high-profile relationship, it serves as a stark reminder of the personal cost of public duty and the intense scrutiny that accompanies royal life. The narrative, though centered on a specific period, resonates with timeless themes of love, betrayal, and the profound impact of personal choices on public perception. It's a sensitive portrayal that invites contemplation on the complexities of fame and the search for genuine connection.
