PREP SCHOOL

Cinemavixion Review

Sean Nichols Lynch's 'Prep School' plunges viewers into the cutthroat environment of an elite Northern California institution, where adolescent rivalries escalate into a compelling drama of heartbreak and revenge. The film masterfully navigates the complexities of youthful relationships, anchored by a nuanced performance from Carly Schroeder as a campus activist whose actions ignite a powder keg of student conflict. Stephen Brookins, as a troubled rugby player, adds a layer of raw intensity to the narrative. Lynch's direction, described as both humorous and savage, ensures a searing and unforgettable exploration of adolescence. While the external data notes a 2015 release and a 5.4 IMDb rating, the core of the film remains its unflinching look at the consequences of youthful passion and the darker undercurrents of seemingly idyllic settings. 'Prep School' is a potent debut that resonates with its unflinching portrayal of teenage turmoil.
