POSEIDON REX

Cinemavixion Review

Dive into the thrilling depths of "Poseidon Rex," a creature feature that harkens back to the golden age of monster movies. Set against the picturesque backdrop of a secluded Belizean island, the film plunges viewers into a terrifying scenario where a deep-sea expedition awakens an ancient, colossal predator from the ocean's abyss. The narrative masterfully builds suspense as a group of unsuspecting islanders and divers must confront this prehistoric relic, evoking comparisons to the primal terror of "Jaws" and the cautionary tale of "Jurassic Park." Director Mark L. Lester crafts a suspenseful survival thriller, where humanity's hubris clashes with the raw power of nature. While the film leans into familiar tropes, its execution delivers a pulse-pounding adventure, showcasing the relentless fight for survival against an unimaginable foe. "Poseidon Rex" is a commendable entry in the genre, offering a satisfyingly ferocious encounter with a beast from a forgotten era.
